Another lovely book by this author!! I thought Garden Spells was amazing, and after this second novel, I am happy to say it wasn't a fluke!
Both books are full of magic and charm. In The Sugar Queen, we are introduced to three women - Josey, Chloe, and Della Lee. The story revolves around Josey, with Chloe and Della Lee major forces in bringing about her transformation.
The writing is just beautiful. The characters - both main and secondary - are absolutely vivid. This is a novel that will stay with you for a while, one that you just hate to see end.
